Vedanta Society Greater Houston bought a plot of land to construct a new home for Thakur Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sarada & Swami Vivekananda in Dec. 2007. It's a 1.5 acre land and is located on Lindita St, a small street off Hwy.6 between Empanada & Beechnut. We are almost at the end of the construction phase of the temple. We request you to contribute generously towards this project. All donations are tax deductible.
We are very happy to announce that with the grace of Sri Sri Thakur the construction project of VSGH Temple of Holy Trinity began at 14809 Lindita Drive, Houston, TX 77083 on December 27, 2010, the auspicious day of Holy Mother’s Birthday. The construction is progressing as per schedule. The new building is expected to be complete within next 2 months, depending on the funding.
The temple project is estimated to cost about $500,000. We currently have a shortfall of $40K. To cover the shortfall and some contingency needs, we urgently need to raise additional $50,000 in the next 1 month. Please feel free to visit the construction site. Here are few pictures. We are sending this appeal to all of our VSGH devotees and friends for their kind and generous support.
Dedication of the temple and Sri Sri Durgapuja have been schedule for September 24-25,2011.
